Overview

This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating a new MyLekha account and configuring initial settings for first-time use. This includes setting the default currency to USD and enabling secondary currency support for Cambodian Riel within the MyLekha POS system.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Launch the MyLekha Dashboard application on your computer.
2. On the login screen, click the "Create an account" button.
3. The 'Term of Use' screen will appear. Click "Confirm".
4. Fill out the "Your Information" form with the following details:
   1. "Name": Enter your full name.
   2. "Country": The default value is "KH".
   3. "Phone": Enter your phone number.
   4. "Address": Enter your address.
   5. "Email": Enter your email address.
   6. "Password": Create a password.
   7. "Enter pin code": Create a pin code (this will be used to login to the MyLekha POS application).
5. Ensure the "I agree to terms of use and have read and acknowledged privacy policy" checkbox is checked.
6. Click "confirm".
7. Fill out the "Store information" with the following details:
   1. "Store name": Enter your store's name.
   2. "Store Address": Enter your store's address.
   3. "Business Type": Select a business type from the drop-down menu (e.g. "MART").
8. Leave "Reference Code" field blank.
9. Click "Register".
10. On the Subscription screen, select the "Trial Package" (USD 0.00).
11. Select the "0.0" amount under Payment method.
12. Click "Confirm".
13. To change the default currency to USD, navigate to "Configure" in the navigation menu.
14. Select "Currency option".
15. On the Currencies screen, select the "United States Dollar" entry.
16. Click "set primary" in the bottom left, then click "Update".
17. On the Currencies screen, select the "Cambodian Riel" entry.
18. Update the "Rate" value to 4000 (this sets the exchange rate of $1 USD to 4000 KHR).
19. Click "Update".
20. Navigate back to the "Configure" menu and select "Store".
21. Select your store in the "Stores" section.
22. Click the "Edit" icon.
23. Select "Use secondary currency".
24. Under the "Currency" dropdown, select "Cambodian Riel".
25. Click "Update" to save the store configuration.
26. Launch the MyLekha POS application.
27. Enter the registered email and password and click "Sign in".
28. Select the store under "Select store" and the device under "Select Device".
29. Click "Confirm". You should now be logged into the POS application and ready to use it.

Tips

• Always ensure you have an active internet connection during the account creation and currency setup process.
• Be sure to set the exchange rate for Cambodian Riel as precisely as possible. This will have a direct impact on your accounting accuracy.
