Overview
This tutorial will show you how to sell items using MyLekha POS. After completing this tutorial, you’ll know how to use the POS to select items, add discounts, and complete a sale.
Prerequisites
- Have a MyLekha POS account
- Have items already added to the MyLekha POS system
Step-by-Step Guide
- In the MyLekha POS, navigate to the POS screen.
- Select the items you want to sell. You can do this in several ways:
- Click on the item’s image.
- If you have a barcode scanner connected, scan the barcode. This will display the item in the “Scan What Are Looking For” box.
- If you do not have a barcode scanner connected, type the name of the item in the “Scan What Are Looking For” box and select it from the results.
- After adding an item, you can adjust its quantity using the “+” and “-” buttons next to the item in the “Select Ticket” column.
- Review the order summary at the bottom of the “Select Ticket” column. Here, you’ll see:
- Total quantity
- Sub total
- Total discount (0.0%)
- Total Service Charge (0.0%)
- VAT (0.0%)
- If you want to apply a discount to the entire order, click the “Change” button.
- 5.1. In the “Update ticket” dialog, select the “Rate” to apply discount.
- 5.2. Enter the discount percentage in the “Amount” field.
- 5.3. Click “Confirm”.
- If you want to apply a discount to an individual item:
- 6.1. In the “Select Ticket” column, click on the item.
- 6.2. In the “Item” dialog, select “Rate” from the “Discount Type” dropdown.
- 6.3. Enter the discount percentage in the “Amount” field.
- 6.4. Click “Update”.
- Once the order is correct, click “Charge”.
- In the “Checkout” dialog, select the payment type. You can select cash, card, or AC.
- Select the currency type in USD or KHR.
- If you select USD or KHR currency, the checkout amount will be filled automatically according to total. If the customer pays a different amount, you can adjust the “Amount” field.
- Click “Confirm” to complete the sale. A screen is displayed confirming that the sale has been created successfully.
- If you have a receipt printer connected, it will now print the receipt.
- To view the sales record, click “Sale” in the left sidebar. This will show you a list of all sales. You can select any sale from the list to view the details.
Tips
- If the customer pays more cash than the total amount due, enter the amount they paid, and the system will automatically calculate the change.
- You can choose whether to discount the total value of a sale or just specific items.
- If you connect your MyLekha POS to a receipt printer, sales receipts will automatically be printed when you confirm the sale.
